I come from a musical family and from an early age was encouraged to sing at school and with local church choirs. I became a regular soloist at Sunday, Christmas and Easter services and to this day sing at ordinations, special church services, commercial events and private birthday parties.
Following school and university I took private singing lessons and won numerous prizes and accolades at musical festivals across the south of England. As my performance experience grew I became sought after as a soloist across the whole spectrum of music performance from opera, operetta, oratorio and musical theatre.
Encouraged by this success and to further my studies, I enrolled on the Performance Studies course in Opera run by Birkbeck College, University of London. During this course I performed principal parts across a wide range of operatic genres at prestigious venues across London in collaboration with Central Saint Martins. Following this period of study, I received coaching from leading international artists Neil Jenkins and Justin Lavender to perform principal roles with opera companies in and around the Surrey and Berkshire areas namely Guildford Opera Company, Aquarian Opera, Park Opera and Opera at Bearwood.
When I am not singing, I can be found providing study support to teenagers in maths and science along with gardening and walking the Surrey countryside.
